In plain English, these are the morals from Episode 24:
What isup with Veronica, already? Here's yet another attempt on my part to tie off this festering loose end. Not much more there than that.
What triggered me to write this was something on one of this week's episodes in which someone referred to some nutty question like ``who is the real Kurt Costner?'' It prompted me to think, ``gee, there might be a fake one?'' And then I started thinking about what all kind of other fakes could be running around without our knowing it, and this storyline veritably burst out at me.
I also miss the idea of people `plotting' things. The `deal' with Keith Dennison was a little too simplistic for me but was the closest I feel like we've come in a little while. Dru and Malcolm could be doing more plotting to get Neil over the hump, but that comes out pretty dull. I want something where I can see the planning of something interesting or devious or whatever and get into the watching of it unfolding, feeling at each step like it's logical even if it (hopefully) surprises me as it goes. Plots these days don't seem very planned.... they seem like someone just threw in a bunch of ingredients and said "I'll figure out the purpose later". Mostly we just see a bunch of swirling soups of characters, each just like the other, as if there was only one tried and true recipe. Some, like Adam fizzle. Some, like Olivia and recently Kurt, just drone on and on with no motion or hope of resolution. I'd like to find out that Joshua had some depth of character and would become more three dimensional, rather than just having him be a simplistic thorn in the eternal Victor/Nikki thing. I'd like to know he was a killer and that maybe it will happen again, or something juicy like that. I'd like the idea of Veronica getting out and then coming after Joshua (with or without Mari Jo's help). Well, time will tell. If we don't all die of old age before the next scene with Veronica comes out, that is.
That's all for Episode 24's morals.
Don't miss Episode 25
and its morals!
