In plain English, these are the morals from Episode 93:
I was pretty appalled to see Victor doing what appeared to be mouth-kissing of Nikki when she was so close to being unable to breathe. It seemed to me he should have kissed her forehead or something like that, to more clearly leave her air passage free.
I was also bugged procedurally by the amount of stuttering Nikki was doing. Yes, we need realism to a point but after a while we get the point and just want to understand the lines being delivered.
Working these two together--the kiss and the stuttering--led to the business about the gauze--and the miraculous recovery only Victor could engineer. (Who else would be tongue-kissing a dying woman?)
The later business about the transsexualism was to accomplish two goals: First, to explain what had happened to poor Joshua, who is not spoken about at all. Second, to leave Victor having gotten less of a bargain than he expected with Nikki. I don't know why, but I just love watching him squirm. Must be his love of doing the same to others...
The thing I started with here was really the idea that Jack might have sex with Diane and then they might get married thinking it was Jack's kid, only to later find out it was Victor's. But since I didn't have such a long time line available, I rearranged it to something simpler. Even so, I think the longer version would be a fun plot to pursue because it would perpetuate the Jack/Victor rivalry in a new way. Especially if someone else were to marry Nikki, Victor would have a harder and harder time pulling his extended family together and keeping control over it all.
I don't understand why anyone who's as good a chef as Miguel so obviously is would be eating at a greasy spoon like Miguel does. His comment ``I like the food here'' is not enough. Maybe if he'd said ``It's a very close family member that runs it, I might have believed it. But surely he'd prefer either cooking for himself at home or going to a place that is of higher quality. He rarely spends his money on anything, so I imagine he must have a lot of money piled up.
Also, I'm waiting anxiously to see what's going to happen with Veronica menacing Nikki. This could actually be among the few fun parts of this whole plot. But it worked out best with the `transsexual' plot I evolved here to think about heading off the `menacing' and replacing it with a love story. Nikki could feel drawn to Joshua, and perhaps Veronica could learn to love Nikki. Well, it's a thought. But I admit it's a weak one. Don't take this part of the parody to seriously--it's just where the story happened to lead.
That's all for Episode 93's morals.
