In plain English, these are the morals from Episode 48:
It's been bugging me for a long time now that they expect Cassie doesn't hear her. I have friends who have kids and they are constantly talking about how much more the kids pick up of what you say than what you would expect they would. I think it's unreasonable to suppose that Cassie does not hear Grace and Tony, and so when I heard Tony the other day ``We gotta get rid of her'' it lept out of my screen and screamed at me.
Also, kids are very impressionable about other input they receive (books and movies). I myself saw a movie when I was little that must have traumatized me some because I recall it affecting my behavior, leaving me running around and hiding from imaginary creatures, for weeks afterward. So I'd had an idea for a while that it would be useful to let Cassie have one or more episodes where she patterned her actions after a favorite book character, so that's how I decided to frame this one.
There's a point to be made here, but I'm only going to make part of it for now. The part I can say is that it'd be fun to have an adventure in cyberspace with one of the characters--we've talked about that before. I have some very particular points to be made about cyberspace, but they will have to wait until this storyline is concluded.
That's all for Episode 48's morals.
