In plain English, these are the morals from Episode 46:
This is a public service ad on my part. People should not put information on their answering machines which reveals whether they are going to be home at a certain time. (Or in newsgroup posts either, by the way!) I was appalled when I saw Flo do this on the show and I wanted to show what could happen.
Nina's a rich source of money, and I was thinking she would be the obvious choice for Tim to hit up for the money. The trick is to get him to bend his rules enough to ask her. When I heard him on the show recently say that she didn't need a psychologist, I found myself saying, ``that's right--you need a boyfriend.'' And so I decided to start that one going.
Also, I kinda miss the Dr. Reid who, frustrated by his own self-imposed prison of respectability, would sometimes take a few more risks and get himself embroiled in things he didn't quite understand--just to break the monotony and go after things he knew were really beyond his normal reach.
We need to get Dru and the other black actors out of their rut. They are just interacting with each other on what's soon to be the world's longest running (and most dull) game of musical chairs. They need to be dealt with as people doing things people do. And Dru was a lot more interesting before they settled her down to be all prim and proper. She needs a little of her rogue spirit back! So I thought this was fun.
And originally I thought the popcorn box would lead back to Phyllis but I decided that was getting tiring, too. It's time for Phyllis to make someone else squirm just a little for once. She knew someone would be overinvestigating, and she'd take great pride in having set up the ending for this one.
That's all for Episode 46's morals.
Don't miss Episode 47
and its morals!
