In plain English, these are the morals from Episode 12:
I'd like to see some more active meddling and these two seem like good candidates. Working together as if they were a couple would give them a chance to look inconspicuous, and they could do some devious things to make the various Newman couples mad at each other. Along the way, as they saw their efforts succeeding, they might even decide they like each other and decide to stay together even though they have wrecked the others' marriages while learning this.
Lynn's gotta start being more devious and asserting her edge. Maybe she's not the most beautiful woman on the show, but she is loyal and probably has a strong sex drive. Cricket is absent so much of the time, it's time for Paul to start looking around.
A lot of people are rooting for Lynn to go psycho, and I'm of a mind to think that would work, too, but this is an attempt at the more believable approach--certainly no worse than what Phyllis did to Paul, and maybe Paul could start to decide he likes this kind of thing...
Rather than act out of panic, if you wanted a change of pace, you could have Phyllis act out of self-sacrifice and show she's grown a little. This could set Cricket up to have greater respect for Phyllis. (That doesn't mean that Phyllis can't later disappoint Cricket again, but right now Cricket is so on-guard about Phyllis that she's too "ready" for something bad to happen. We need to lull her back into a false sense of security.)
That's all for Episode 12's morals.
