In plain English, these are the morals from Episode 113:
All in all, I'm pretty happy with the handling of the Grace/Nick/Sharon stuff of the last few days. It's been pretty fun. But it's always fun to poke fun at Nick.
It's been really bugging me that Tony has not defended himself by just telling everyone there is a completely ordinary and reasonable explanation for his going after Megan--that he thought his marriage to Grace was off. Partly, this plot was intended to force that fact out.
Also, Trisha is looking remarkably cold and bloodthirsty lately, and I wanted to highlight that. I hope the writers will keep this aspect of her personality. She is at her best when playing someone who is cold and manipulative. Ryan is married to a true terror.
This plot is really terribly tedious and not moving very quickly. First we did too many scenes showing she was in trouble. Now we're doing too many scenes hearing that she's trouble while at the same time doing too many scenes with her being investigated. Let's spice it up somehow. All these investigations may be good for Paul's investigation business, but they're doing nothing for the plot. Is Paul even spending any time investigating her?
I'm of mixed minds on this plot. First, I think it's legally marginal that Victor was told to live with Diane. It's important he be not with Nikki, but I'm not so sure it's important he be with Diane. But ok, we'll accept that under the heading of ``willful suspension of disbelief.'' It does make for a good plot. But second, now that we're into this plot and it seems to be making good headway, I hear from the soap rags that someone's about to blink. (I won't say who just in case some reader don't know and doesn't want to.) But I will say the notion of them giving up is disappointing. I thought it would be fun to see how far the thing could be extended out. So I thought I'd turn the crank here and see what kinds of plots came out if everyone would just refuse to blink. I thought it was a pretty fun thought experiment. I hope you agree.
That's all for Episode 113's morals.
