In plain English, these are the morals from Episode 97:
I am so tired of seeing Cole say he wants to solve this brilliant mystery without getting started. The guy is starting to compete with Miguel for cluelessness, so I decided to make that the centerpiece of this episode.
As for the part about Nikki and the freezer, I was just struck by that weird remark Victor made about how there were people all around watching over her. We don't see them. So where could they be? Suddenly, I got this image of Maxwell Smart and his crew in the old Get Smart series and that's how we ended up with people in the cookie jar.
The other main element here is Neil. I actually think a Jill/Neil and Malcolm/Victoria pairing would work a lot better. Besides, Y&R never does things in ones, so if they're going to re-break the racial barriers on this show, I assume they have to have a pair of people do it.
The part about Cricket at the hospital was almost an afterthought. I was watching the show as I was about to publish this and I noticed Danny not being hauled off to get fixed because selfish Cricket wanted to talk to him. I can't believe they let her! So I figured I'd do proper justice to the event by letting him die while she rambled on; that'll teach her!
That's all for Episode 97's morals.
