In plain English, these are the morals from Episode 116:
Oh, joy--another interminable hospital bed situation. I guess it's pretty fortunate we weren't treated to a scenario where Cole divorces Ashley to remarry a dying Vikki. I'm not going to do that one as a plot (so many plotlines to parody and so little time), but you can just imagine.
Fortunately, Heather Tom's acting is good enough that her being stuck in that bed for so long isn't as tedious as it could have been, but I hope they have her ``back in action'' soon!
The lengths to which Cricket is going to surprise her husband are so extreme that I had to--well,--I had to duplicate the same level of effort for Ashley. One good turn (or one good plot twist) deserves another, right? Seriously, this Ashley seems to excel at ``empathy'' so this plot I arranged for her should keep her going for a while. And we all know how Y&R can't resist recycling a good plotline, so I just figured I'd beat them to it on this one.
I can't believe the charade the writers keep trying to play with us by trying to pretend Neil is such a fine, honorable, upstanding guy. He keeps talking about how much he wants a baby to love and cherish and raise with Victoria, who he loves so much, but he pays no attention at all to his own child, Lily. Of course he has a lot of time he's ready to devote to Victoria'a child--being a deadbeat dad with his own child frees up a lot of time for him. His daughter loves him and he purports to love her, but how much time do they spend together? Almost none. Presumably it will be the same for Victoria's child once Neil tires of her and leaves her. (Well, ok, maybe Victor will make sure that never happens. Poor Neil.)
That's all for Episode 116's morals.
